Data Deletion Policy

Overview
IO Intelligence Inc. ("IOI") respects your right to control your personal data. This Data Deletion Policy explains how you can request the deletion of personal data we hold about you, and what happens when we process that request.
What Data Can Be Deleted
You may request deletion of the following categories of personal data:
- Account profile information (name, email, phone, company)
- Contact form submissions and communications
- IoT device telemetry and usage data associated with your account
- Billing and subscription history (subject to legal retention requirements)
- Marketing preferences and communication records
- Mobile application usage data and preferences
Data We May Need to Retain
Certain data cannot be deleted immediately due to legal or operational requirements:
- Financial records — invoices, payment records, and tax documents are retained for 7 years as required by US tax law
- Legal holds — data subject to active legal proceedings or regulatory requirements
- Fraud prevention — minimal identifiers retained to prevent fraudulent re-registration
- Aggregated analytics — anonymized, non-identifiable usage statistics that cannot be linked back to you
How to Request Deletion
You can submit a data deletion request using any of the following methods:
Email Request
Send an email to info@iointel.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request".
Please include:
- Your full name
- Email address associated with your account
- The specific data or products you want deleted (or "all data")
- A brief description of how you used our services
Verification
To protect your data from unauthorized deletion requests, we will verify your identity before processing any deletion. We may ask you to confirm details that only you would know, or to verify ownership of the email address associated with the request.
Processing Timeline
- Acknowledgment — We will confirm receipt of your request within 2 business days
- Verification — Identity verification completed within 5 business days
- Deletion — Data deleted within 30 days of verified request
- Confirmation — Written confirmation sent to you once deletion is complete
Effect of Deletion
Deleting your data will result in permanent loss of access to IOI services associated with your account. Active subscriptions will be cancelled and no refunds will be issued for unused prepaid periods. Device configurations managed through DMP or DOJO will be removed from our systems.
Mobile Applications
If you are requesting deletion of data collected through one of our mobile applications, you may also delete the app from your device. However, this alone does not delete server-side data. You must submit a deletion request as described above to remove your data from our systems.
Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA, etc.). Our Privacy Policy provides more detail on all your data rights.
